Live in the future, then build what’s missing.
— Paul Graham
Hi, I’m Tim, a self-starter and an absurdly quick learner with a fervent desire to facilitate epoch-defining impact through leveraging the potential of applied Artificial Intelligence and/or building infrastructure for the decentralised economy.
As an ex-cryptocurrency trader, lawyer, and a self-taught programmer, I have experience working across multiple domains and cognitive modalities, and am capable of rapidly shifting mental frameworks to the task(s) at hand.
No stranger to “wearing many hats”, I am an excellent communicator, creative brainstormer, and an analytical problem solver.
Some proxies for competence:
- My team was awarded first place in the Artificial Intelligence and Future of Work hackathon hosted by Imperial College London in December 2021, where I delivered the winning pitch
- I built an AlphaZero clone within 6 months of learning programming
- I built a functional DeFi interest rates swap prototype within a month, without prior experience in Solidity and Javascript
- I built a neural network from scratch without frameworks
- I finished the infamous Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs in 2 months - some of my solutions can be found on the SICP-dedicated Scheme Wiki under the username x3v
